I have begun writing again ever since I discovered HubPages; and even more so since I have discovered BookRix.com. This is a place where I can submit my longer writings and have them published through that Web Site.

Most recently, I discovered Smashwords.com; a self-publishing site to publish your own eBooks. I have published one book of my own; "The Adventures of Chris Mouse," and two of my late mother's; "Devotionals and Meditations", and "Jessica's Way". I have a number of additional projects on progress so will be publishing them "soon". I hope to see your comments at either Smashwords or BookRix.

I have been writing pretty much since I could hold a crayon. My mother used to read my stories to me because I couldn't read yet. I pretty much haven't quit writing except for a number of times when I hit a writers' block the size of a brick wall, or my characters aren't telling me what they're going to do next. (That's the worst.)

My wife and I retired from my job of over 20 years. July 18, 2010, my birthday. We moved to Roseville, California, in the foothills of the foothills of the California Sierras - on the road to Tahoe and Reno.

I kind of "jumped in" to hubbing before I really knew what it was all about and what I was getting into. (I think it had something to do with "earn money just writing." Sounded almost too good to be true.) I didn't really take a look around before I started hubbing. You can probably tell that by the diversity of my hubs.

I have begun recently to focus more on the areas of writing, blogging, proofreading, and editing. I hope that in this way I can share some of my successes and [near] failures.
