Looking at Art and Faith
Up until just a short time ago I believed that my interests had changed and I was going to endeavor to make a living little extra ca$h doing editing and proofreading. In the mean time I would try to concentrate “a little” on my writing.
As I soon learned, as I “discovered” the correlation between Art and Faith, I found a new concentration. I am now looking in depth at Christians in the Arts. Even with my particular background in theatre and in fiction writing – both prose and drama – I began to realize that the Arts are Gifts from God. He created us like Himself. He is a creator, so a part of who we are is “creative” beings.
I do, now solicit your feedback on what I have just written, and look forward to any and all discussion which those may bring up.
Don't you just hate it when the advertisement is in the middle of your Hub?

I guess the "protestant" idea of Worship - that is "free" worship - has not reevaluated the Life found in Art.
I thank you for remembering your grade school lessons and been able to apply them here. Now pray that I can come to a point where other Christians will begin to value that Art IS Worship, as well.

I believe this is more or less what I was taught in a Catholic grade school. Art is beauty, God is the most beautiful, therefore seeking the beautiful in art is a way to God. I won't say this is exactly the message but as good as I can cime up with now.
I also have the idea that are talents an abilities are gifts from God and that God means us to use them for positive purposes.
